Summer at Tea and Hope – Our Crochet Workshops Are Here!

There’s something special about summer evenings spent with good company, a warm drink, and a creative project in your hands. This year, we’re delighted to announce that our much-loved crochet workshops are back, and we have even more exciting news…

We've Found a New Home!

We're thrilled to be hosting our summer workshops at Fun and Games Café, 1 Church Street, Trowbridge, BA14 8DR. This welcoming community venue offers the perfect setting for relaxed evenings of creativity, conversation, and plenty of crochet.

Whether you're completely new to crochet or have years of experience, our workshops are designed to be fun, supportive, and inspiring.

Crochet Blanket Workshop

If you've ever wanted to create a beautiful handmade blanket while learning a variety of stunning crochet techniques, this workshop is for you.

Over six weeks, we'll explore a different stitch pattern each week, building a beautiful sampler blanket packed with texture and colour. You'll develop new skills, grow in confidence, and create something truly unique.

Our six-week stitch journey:

Week 1: Linen Stitch

Week 2: Baby Block Stitch

Week 3: Mermaid Stitch

Week 4: Cartwheel Stitch

Week 5: Puff Stitch

Week 6: Brick Stitch

Each session includes demonstrations, guidance, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions, making it ideal for beginners and experienced crocheters alike.

• 7:30 pm

• Starting 23rd June

• £12 per session or £62 for all six weeks

Patterns and guidance are provided—simply bring your own wool. Plus, enjoy a complimentary regular hot or cold drink while you crochet.

Crochet Toy Workshop

Love cute crochet projects? Our Crochet Toy Workshop is all about creating an adorable collection of handmade amigurumi friends.

Over six weeks, you'll learn the techniques needed to shape and construct a range of charming toys. Whether you're a complete beginner or already enjoy making amigurumi, you'll leave with new skills and a collection of handmade creations.

This summer's toy collection:

Week 1: Jelly-fish

Week 2: Bumble Bee

Week 3: Whale

Week 4: Bird

Week 5: Lion

Week 6: Dinosaur

We'll provide the patterns, wool, guidance, and plenty of encouragement, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and creativity.

• £17 per session or £87 for all six weeks

Patterns, wool, and guidance are included, along with a complimentary regular hot or cold drink.

A Little Gift from Tea and Hope

Our adorable Slinky Snake is a fun and satisfying make that's perfect for practising your crochet skills and using up leftover yarn. The pattern features a gradually shaped body and head, making it suitable for confident beginners and experienced crocheters alike.
